Case study

Recruiting a technical support engineer

The problem

Our client required a Technical Support Engineer with a quick turnaround.

Our solution

Detailed notes were immediately taken and the right questions were asked so that we could complete a detailed requirement specification, allowing us to later identify the correct candidates for the role.

Comprehensive searches produced several people interested in the role and after lengthy telephone screening calls, we invited eight contenders to our offices for personal interviews and assessment against our client’s specific requirements.

Six of the candidate’s details were sent to the client and, of those, five were selected for interview. The client provided a number of interview slots and five interviews were arranged by us to a very tight schedule, minimising the disruption to the business. Two of the five were invited to second interviews and these were confirmed for two days later. Both candidates were considered to be suitable for the role but as only one vacancy existed at the time, only one person could be recruited.

The result

ProTech supplied the appropriate candidate, who successfully started work just over 3 weeks after receiving the initial client brief.
