This is a great opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a world leading advanced technology engineering company. The business, based in north Hertfordshire, specialise in the design and manufacture of test systems used within a wide variety of sectors, across the globe.
The Manufacturing Engineer will be the lead on the mechanical assembly processes within the business, aiming to reduce cost, improve productivity and increase profitability. Alongside this, you will need to ensure all processes, documentation and systems are being correctly recorded and kept up-to-date. You will be working alongside the R&D function to offer guidance during the NPI phase.
The Manufacturing Engineer will need to have a degree within a mechanically related discipline, or 10 years’ experience in a relevant area. Combined with this, you will need to have at least 5 years of experience in a similar Production / Manufacturing Engineer role. Flexibility is key as you will occasionally be required to travel abroad to complete all functions of this position.
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:
- Degree trained within a mechanical related discipline
- 5+ years of work experience within a similar environment
- Proven capability of implementing new processes using CI and Lean techniques
- Six Sigma trained is advantageous
- Project Management skills
