Salary: Up to £60,000 depending upon experience + Mercedes company car + Excellent Benefits Package

Location: Surrey (Option of being based in Surrey or Kent location)

A global leader in the Industrial and Process industries, is looking for a dedicated and diligent individual to join its team as a Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager in the temperature and pressure measuring components industry. The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager is primarily responsible for the development and running of our Quality Management System across all 3 company locations within the UK. To be responsible for the development, running and following up of the company's Continuous Improvement initiatives in line with the Group practices. Both of these responsibilities are 'hands on' roles where the Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager is expected to lead by example.

Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager Requirements:

* Must have previous experience being responsible for Quality Management and a Quality Management System
* Experience having led a Continuous Improvement program and can demonstrate sustainable positive results would be advantageous
* Experience leading a health and safety programme within a manufacturing organisation would be very advantageous
* Knowledge of PED and ATEX, ISO:3834, UKAS, ASME U Stamp would be advantageous but not essential
* Knowledge of mechanical engineering and materials is a distinct advantage
* Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline would be advantageous
* Previous experience gained from a manufacturing environment is essential
* Knowledge and experience of internal and supplier auditing is essential
* Previous experience of managing people is essential
* Must be personable, approachable, presentable and interactive, with a 'hands-on approach
* Flexibility is key for this position as UK and some international travel is required
* Excellent communication skills required and ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation
* Must be computer literate

Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager Responsibilities:

* All aspects of the Quality Management System ISO9001:2015 including working with the Management Team in its development and for its compliance
* Manage and ensure other relevant approvals are maintained on each site - such as but not limited to ATEX, PED, UKAS
* Take a lead role in the management of customer complaints
* Ensure Internal Audits are carried out according to Corporate Process across all sites in a timely manner to a defined internal audit plan
* Manage and ensure company Health and Safety Policy adheres to current legislation across all sites
* Ensure procedures and work instructions meet the company standards agreed with the relevant Centre of Excellence
* Responsible for the on-going development of the Quality module within the computer system to reflect 'best practice' across all sites
* Taking into consideration Group and company initiatives and be responsible for all Continuous Improvement activities
* Help identify Continuous Improvement potential within the UK sites to improve the operational performance over all functions in the business
* Be responsible for the promotion of a Continuous Improvement culture in the whole enterprise
* Ensure all the actions from the Continuous Improvement events are followed through by the relevant person
* Work with the Group Continuous Improvement teams to ensure the UK is using the latest techniques and ideas
* Work with the Managing Director on other projects and assignments where appropriate
