The Software Engineer role will be responsible for the assistance in the production of integrated security solutions to Critical National infrastructures around the world. Using a variety of in house sensors, trusted partners, and externally sourced sensors and software modules. The Software Engineer will be responsible for the definition of improvements to, and maintenance of, the integrated applications that link up all the sensors to create the heart of the solution. The role will require a person who can take new requirements from management and customers, define changes required to meet these requirements, manage the process from requirements through test and verification, upkeep the development roadmaps, and step in to assist the developers as required.

Software Engineer Requirements:

* A good knowledge of C++
* Degree Qualified would be an advantage
* Knowledge of agile software development processes
* Ability to generate and upkeep development roadmaps
* Knowledge of other programming languages
* Good communication skills
* Willingness to occasionally travel to visit test sites and customer premises
* Knowledge of other programming languages
* Windows MFC Experience would be ideal
* Good command of written and verbal English
* Practical experience of using C++
* Practical experience of writing software for PCs running Windows
* Practical experience of using Microsoft Visual Studio

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

* To use good engineering practice to produce software for new, innovative and profitable products and solutions for the security business
* To support and enhance existing software in accordance with commercial requirement
* To provide support and advice to less experienced colleagues
* Providing estimates for software changes required to bids
* To act as a role model for junior staff
* Responsible for design, specification, implementation, testing and maintenance of software to support the company's products and services
* Responsible for tasking and guiding team members
* Technical liaison within and outside of company with customers, suppliers and collaborators on software related matters
* Undertake additional project tasks as required by management
