Within this Supply Chain Material Planning & Logistic Manager role, you will ensure that all parts, materials & consumables are delivered to the people that need them when they need them, to the quality expected and within budget. The role will be responsible for the management of all activities and data from PO placement through to issue to the shop floor/user/customer.
Supply Chain, Material Planning & Logistic Manager Requirements:
Ideal candidate will hold Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, engineering, supply chain management or other relevant field .
Candidates will have demonstrable minimum of 5 years' experience in a management or supervisory role within a complex supply chain/logistics/production environment, involving high technology products and stringent quality standards, such as aerospace, automotive, motorsport, defence, electronics, medical devices, oil and gas, energy or similar.
Candidates will have good understanding of basic material planning and logistics processes: planning receipt, checking, booking-in, put-away , supply contracts and purchase orders and issue of parts and materials
Candidates will be exceptionally organized with high levels of self-motivation and ability to think strategically whilst ensuring day to day operation objectives are met
Supply Chain, Material Planning & Logistic Manager Responsibilities:
As SCMP&L manager you will be responsible for Creating, developing and implementing strategies to ensure budgetary targets are met and surpassed
You will be responsible for supplier identification, negotiating contracts and issue of requests for information and for quotations, analysis of responses, negotiation of contracts, and issue of contracts or purchase orders
As a SCMP&L manager you will be responsible for supplier development and technical assistance, to build productive relationships with a selected group of preferred, capable, responsive suppliers, who are consistently able to meet Company's needs
As a SCMP&L manager you will be responsible for managing complete life cycle of suppliers related to compliance with all legal, regulatory, company policy, quality standards and including their performance management and inventory risk.
As a SCMP&L manager you will be responsible for Point of escalation and leading the resolution of commercial, timing and supply constraints and contract discussions, freight issues, parts backorders, supply chain and operational challenges, and general supplier performance issues. All instances to be reviewed and rectification measures to be applied to prevent re-occurrence
