Salary: £35,000 DOE

To carry out final inspection of PCBs and electronic assemblies to ensure full compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and IPC guidelines before product release.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform final visual and mechanical inspection using microscopes, magnifiers, and measurement tools.
• Verify conformity to IPC-A-610/IPC-600, drawings, BOMs, and customer specifications.
• Identify defects including solder issues, misalignment, contamination, missing components, and physical damage.
• Document inspection results and raise non-conformances where required.
• Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement with production and quality teams.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of PCB/electronic assembly processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and quality standards.
• High attention to detail and strong defect-spotting capability.
• Competent with microscopes, calipers, and inspection equipment.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, quality-focused, and able to work independently.

Experience & Qualifications

• PCB or electronics inspection experience (5+ years preferred).
• IPC-A-610 or IPC-600 certification (advantageous).
• Familiarity with ESD-safe working practices.
