Injection Moulding Setter - Nights

Essex

£35,000 plus £5,000 shift allowance

Are you an Injection Mould Setter enthusiast with a passion for driving tooling to the next level? Do you have a strong background in Medical Device manufacturing? We're on the hunt for a sharp, proactive Mould Setter who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment. You'll be at the heart of the Quality & Regulatory Affairs function, driving improvements, solving problems, and making sure that Medical Device products meet the highest standards from concept to customer.

Your job as Injection Mould Setter:

Reporting into the Facilities and Maintenance Engineer, providing technical support to maximise the efficiencies of production activities on the night shift.

To ensure that all tool changes / set-ups are carried out with the minimum machine downtime possible.

Implement machine start-ups using setting sheets / stored data, in order to achieve target cycle times and specified quality standards in the shortest possible time following the specified first off / Last off procedures.

Carry out machine set-up, purging and remedial duties in accordance with Production management priorities.

*Set-up and adjust as necessary ancillary equipment, including conveyors, mould heaters and any other process related equipment to maximise operating efficiency.

* To ensure Line Clearance and Material Batch traceability is carried out and maintained, paying particular attention to the moulding of Medical Device components.

Your Experience:

An apprenticeship or similar in injection moulding or a related field and/or a combination of practical and educational experience in the medical device industry.

Flexible approach to managing workload as part of a team.

Capable of multi-tasking to meet multiple priorities and deadlines.

Good time-management and organisational skills.

Capable of inspecting parts and familiar with standard inspection tools.

Previous manufacturing medical device experience.

Experience of working within a cleanroom environment.
