Overview:

A well-established UK engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join its machining team. The business operates in a high-precision environment, producing complex engineered components for demanding applications.



The Role:

  • Offline CNC programming using CAD/CAM software (experience with AlphaCam or similar packages considered; training available)

  • Producing efficient CNC milling programs for horizontal machining centres

  • Working from detailed engineering drawings and 3D solid models

  • Designing and specifying workholding solutions

  • Selecting appropriate tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds

  • Collaborating with engineering and shop floor teams to improve machining processes



About You

  • Proven experience in CNC programming within a precision manufacturing environment

  • Strong offline CAD/CAM programming capability

  • Confident supporting CNC milling set-ups and machining operations

  • Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T

  • Experience with ERP systems is beneficial (training can be provided)
