Payroll Specialist - International Scope (Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium)
Are you a payroll professional looking to take your career global? My client has a dynamic international team and you will play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant payroll across multiple European countries. They're seeking a proactive and detail-driven Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations in partnership with ADP and internal departments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own Payroll Delivery: Lead monthly payroll and year-end reporting for Switzerland and Germany, with support responsibilities for France and Belgium.
- Be the Go-To Expert: Act as the main point of contact for employee payroll queries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Streamline Processes: Help develop and document payroll policies and standard operating procedures.
- Post-Payroll Accuracy: Ensure completion of tasks like leave accruals, overtime, and withholding updates.
- Stay Compliant: Work with vendors to meet all statutory reporting requirements for taxes and contributions.
- Support Audits & Reporting: Provide payroll data for internal audits and reporting needs across HR and Finance.
- Monitor Regulations: Stay up to date on employment laws, tax rules, and data privacy regulations across supported countries.
What You'll Bring
- Vocational training with advanced payroll or finance qualifications.
- Several years of experience in payroll accounting, ideally across multiple countries.
- Experience with ADP (preferred); Workday knowledge is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Swiss and German tax/social security regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, large data sets).
- Fluent in German and English; French is a bonus.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of related areas like HR, Accounting, and Fleet Management.
